  •  Guangzhou International Optics Fair 2017 ended in great success

    In November 5-7, a much-awaited Guangzhou International Optics Fair 2017 took place in Poly World Trade Center Expo, Guangzhou, China. Organized by Guangzhou Merchandise Enterprise (Group) Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Guangzhou Guangbai Trade&Exhibition Co., Ltd., the fair occupied an area of 22,000 sqm and showcased a broad spectrum of glasses, frames, lenses, accessories, optical equipment and instruments.

    Record-breaking of Visitors and Exhibitors

    This year’s foot traffic is especially heavy. The fair welcomes over 40,000 buyers from 28 countries and regions, recording a three-digit increase year-on-year. A total of 314 exhibitors including well-established brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Ray-Ban, Bolon, Molsion and Bausch+Lomb, ect., SMEs like the frame and lens distributors, glasses wholesalers, mechanical equipment distributors, glasses accessories manufacturers, raises up 63.7% over last year.

    Zoning in

    The fair generated 1002 booths, with a 63.4% increase comparing last year. The fairground was sectioned into ten zones including Brands Area, Shenzhen Pavilion, Danyang Pavilion, Yuhuan Pavilion, Designers Area, Equipment Area, Taizhou Pavilion, Classical Glasses Area, and Carnivals Area.

    Overwhelming onsite orders

    With every exhibitors in the fair got different orders onsite, nearly RMB 23 millions of sales volumes being concluded, up 50% year-on-year. The exhibitors received 400 business enquiries. A strong growth of export markets like BRIC and ASEAM countries, together with Middle East, reported to pursue superior quality of products. It is indicated the emerging markets have intense demanding of eyewear products and potential consumptions.

    The feedback of Visitors and Exhibitors

    The fair saw exceed 90% of attendances are satisfied with the fair. Over 60% of exhibitors expect to display company images, span business markets and look for agents. Nearly 50% of visitors are interested in spectacles frames while the others prefer
    contact lens, equipments and etc. 

    High Praise from participants

    The leader of Iran group named Behnam Amirian said:”This is my first time to visit GZIOF and I just love it. We can meet favorable glasses and we have placed orders in several companies, we expect to visit the fair next year.”

    The returning exhibitor named Cerium Group, who doubled the size of its booth this year and said:” China is an enormous market and the fair is a great platform for us to forge new contact and maximize the market, we reaped onsite orders here and we do continue to be an exhibitor next year.”
